Rachelle Funk

Rachelle Funk is a freelance editor who has worked in the industry for almost 20 years. Her focus is on helping independent authors refine their creations in the copyediting and proofreading phases of the writing process. She loves literature and gains a great deal of satisfaction from helping produce technically perfected writing.

Rachelle started her editing career at a traditional publishing company as a proofreader and editor for galley prints and quickly developed a strong interest in the publishing industry. She graduated from college with a degree in English and American Literature and still holds a passion for the written word.

​

Rachelle is the president of the Utah Freelance Editors and is on the board for the San Diego Professional Editors Network. She is a lifetime member of ACES (The American Copy Editors Society) and is affiliated with Pique Publishing in San Diego, CA (www.piquepublishing.com) and Eight Moons Publishing. She is also on the editing team for the Inkpot literary journal.

In 2026, Rachelle was named the Editor of the Year by the League of Utah Writers, and she has edited several award-winning books.

​

When Rachelle isn’t working on editing projects for her clients, she spends time with family and friends and spends a lot of time outdoors. She loves kickboxing and walking her dog.
