Inna Valerie Lyon is a Russian-born writer raised on a steady diet of cabbage, potatoes, and the required reading of Chekhov and Dostoevsky. By day, she works as an accountant, specializing in colorful aging reports and surprisingly charming collection letters. By night, she writes stories about life, miracles, and cats.

Inna is a member of the League of Utah Writers and the Infinite Monkeys writing group, and she currently serves as President of the Blue Quill Chapter. She is a multiple-time award-winning writer with honors from the OWBA and Typewriter across multiple genres.

​

An active member of the writing community, Inna serves on the board of the Utah Readers Festival, presents workshops on the craft of writing, and judges writing contests. She writes in both English and Russian. Her children's detective novel was acquired by a major European publisher and is scheduled for release in September 2026.

Inna lives in Utah with her large, happy family and buys books whenever she can.
